The Manitoulin OPP is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that took place last night.
Constable Berkley Parisien says yesterday around 5:30 pm, the police and emergency services responded to a serious two-vehicle collision involving two passenger vehicles on Highway 540 between Emery Road and Robertson Road in Gore Bay.
She says one driver was pronounced deceased as a result, and the second involved driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Highway 540 was closed for several hours.
The investigation continues.
