An employer in Huron Shores is facing assault charges.
According to East Algoma OPP Constable Bev Gauthier, last Friday around 5:30 pm, OPP responded to a report of an employee having been assaulted by their employer at a food services business in Huron Shores.
She says the investigation determined that the employee arrived late for work and that a verbal dispute occurred, with the employer allegedly striking the employee in the lower back.
Gauthier says officers learned there was a similar incident involving the same parties last month.
The 44-year-old employer from Huron Shores has been charged with two counts of assault and is to appear in Elliot Lake Court on October 14.
