Manitoulin OPP investigating incident with two people in hospital

Manitoulin OPP has laid drug-related charges in connection with an incident which sent two people to hospital.

OPP Constable Bev Gauthier says around 2:30 am last Friday police and paramedics responded to a disturbance at a Massey motel and administered Naloxone.

She says two individuals were transported to a hospital in Espanola and subsequently released.

Gauthier says a 44-year-old from Webbwood was charged yesterday with criminal negligence causing bodily harm, administering a noxious substance causing bodily harm and trafficking.

The name of the accused is not being released she says to protect the identity of the victims.

Gauthier adds the investigation is continuing and anyone with information can call police or Crime Stoppers.
