The City of Elliot Lake has issued a boil water notice to all residents within the city.
Officials are also asking if possible, also reduce your water use.
They add in consultation with Algoma Public Health, water should be boiled if you plan on drinking, brushing your teeth, washing fruit of veggies and more.
The notice will remain in effect until work on the system is complete, and samples confirm the water is safe to consume.
The city says if you have questions to contact the public works department.
