Major drug bust in Sudbury – millions of doses taken off the streets

Greater Sudbury Police carried out a major drug raid in Sudbury taking millions of dollars in illicit drugs off the streets.

Constable Kaitlyn Dunn says the search warrant was carried out late January at a residence in the city and seized over 6,700 grams of suspected fentanyl and over 400 grams of suspected cocaine, an estimated street value of over $2.75-million-dollars.

A 31-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man have been charged with two counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

No further details are being provided.

The service also thanks the Toronto Police Service for its assistance in ensuring more than 2,680,000 lethal doses of fentanyl did not make it to the streets.
