Espanola OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office are working on identifying suspected human remains found in a burnt out residence.
Espanola OPP community services officer, Constable Marie Ford, says fire, police and emergency services were called out to a house fire on Cutler Lake Road on Sunday morning around 4:00pm.
She says yesterday officers, with the assistance of the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall, located suspected human remains inside the residence.
Ford says the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed.
The investigation is continuing.
