Massey Legion members and supporters met last week for the annual Honours and Awards Night.

Sables-Spanish Rivers Township councillor Mike Merceica says he was proud to attend the Massey Legion Branch #432 Honours and Awards Night held on Saturday evening.

He says everyone gathered to celebrate the selfless dedication of Legion members and their tireless efforts that have an impact on the lives of veterans and their families.

He adds highlights of the evening were the Legion Member of the Year awarded to Thoma Crabs-Junkala, a 50-year pin to Wilfred McKie and the wonderful table service provided by members of the 4H club.
