Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Michael Mantha has been selected as the NDP candidate in the riding for the 2022 provincial election.
NDP leader Andrea Horwath says he has been an unwavering advocate for his riding from fighting for good jobs to sounding the alarm about long waits for long-term care.
Mantha was first elected in 2011 and has been re-elected in every election since.
He is currently serving ad Ontario NDP Caucus Chair and the Official Opposition’s critic for Northern Development and Mines.
Mantha says he is proud to represent the riding and is looking forward to the election.
