Elliot Lake Arts Club to host summer-long online auction

A summer-long virtual auction is in the works for local districts.

The Elliot Lake Arts Club lost its studios just over two years ago when the roof of the Lester B. Pearson Civic Centre collapsed and the building was then demolished.

To continue funding for classes and workshops, Club President Christine Roberts says they are starting a virtual auction of original works, from beading to weaving, sculpture to paintings and more.

Memberships are also available, adds Roberts.

She says winning bidders will receive COVID-compliant delivery of their items.

With the auction now underway, visit our websites for the link.

You can check out auction items at the Elliot Lake Arts Club Facebook page or the Elliot Lake Virtual Arts and Craft Sales Facebook group. Winning bidders will receive delivery of their purchased items. The auction is expected to continue throughout the summer.

To start the bidding there are two items, a woman’s woven shawl and a scarf, up for bids at the Elliot Lake Virtual. Both postings are under the name of Club member Kathy Jones.

And for more information, contact Roberts at [email protected]
