As Rainbow students head back to school, also starting her term as a student trustee is Katie Yao a Grade 12 Sudbury student. Yao will bring student issues to elected trustees of the board. And the board says as a student trustee the teen will have a chance to develop leadership skills and see democracy at work. Yao attends Lo-Ellen Park Secondary where she’s a member of several sports teams and a member of the school and student councils.
