The total fire ban in the region has grown. Added to the prohibition on burning are Manitoulin Island, Nairn and Baldwin. Espanola and Sables-Spanish Rivers were already under a total ban. Under a total ban, no open burning of any kind is allowed and that also means no campfires. Meanwhile, the partial fire ban continues in Huron Shores. Campfires for cooking and warmth are allowed. But banned until further notice is burning of grass, brush and debris.
