The MP for Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing is raising awareness for tomorrow’s International Women’s Day. Carol Hughes is encouraging residents to get involved by using the hashtag #YouAreEmpowerment on social media. Hughes will be in Ottawa tomorrow hosting a breakfast in Parliament to honour the day. She says she’s hoping as Deputy Speaker she’s setting a good example for young girls alongside other female politicians.
