Sudbury police have identified the man who drove his car into Wahnapaitae Lake last week. Dead is 82-year-old Lorne Jaworski of Capreol. Police have determined that Jaworski’s car hit a tree, landed in the lake and then sank. Jaworski got out of his sinking car through the window and tried swimming to shore. However the freezing water caused hypothermia to set in and the elderly man drowned. The fatal incident took place just before noon New Year’s Eve.
