Fentanyl Bill gets Royal Assent – now law

A Bill to curb the use of fentanyl is now law.   The Patch 4 Patch Bill received Royal Assent just days after getting third and final reading at Queens Park last Monday.  Under the new law, fentanyl users have to return their used patches to a drug store before being issued a new one.  People have been known to die from overdosing on fentanyl they got illegally.  The proposed legislation was introduced as a Private Member’s Bill by Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli.
