Board members of Community Living Espanola gathered with Espanola Lions Club members late last month to welcome a new form of transit.
CLE executive director, Louise Laplante says the arrival of the new Ram Promaster Side Entry Wheelchair Van is a game changer providing the staff an opportunity to not only take clients to medical trips but also allowing access to community events and more day trips as part of the programming.
She says the new side entry ramp provides easier access and includes flexible seating for eight ambulatory seats or three wheelchairs.
Lion member Grant Lewis says the club was proud to donate the $60,000 towards the vehicle with proceeds from Catch the Ace.
