Third Annual Drug Awareness Walk set in Espanola

The Third Annual Drug Awareness Walk will be held in Espanola at the end of the month.
Co-chair Linda Collins says the walk this year will take place at the Espanola Regional Recreation Centre.
She says information booths and service providers will be on site and the presentations will also include how to use a Naloxone kit.
Following the walk around the oval, she adds there will be a free barbecue with donations going to the Espanola Food Bank so participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable items to help fill the shelves.
Collins says there will also be keynote speakers, adding this is a family event and everyone is encouraged to attend.
The event takes place on Sunday, August 31st from noon until 2 pm as part of International Drug Awareness Day 2025.
