City fire services were able to put out the fire, but not before there was substantial damage to the building, the former St. Joseph Hospital.
She adds additional information provided was that multiple individuals were seen running from the building towards Bell Park shortly before smoke was seen coming from the building.
Dunn says the investigation continues with the assistance of the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office.
