First Nations on Manitoulin Island have a variety of events this week to mark Police Week 2025.
The six communities will mark Police Week from May 11–17 with the theme “Protecting Ontario.”
The week highlights the work of community-based, culturally grounded policing across all six and includes visits to every community with presentations about the UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service, information booths with partner agencies, a recruitment booth, and a bike rodeo for the children.
It will also include a community survey focusing on police services in the individual First Nations.
Each day will end with a complimentary dinner by Prepped Manitoulin to cap off the day.
