Government of Canada investing $386,174 in support for the regional agri-food industry

FedNor has made an investment of $386,174 to support Collège Boréal and the work they are doing to strengthen the agri-food industry in Northern Ontario.
According to the release, the funds will help the college support new and emerging agri-food businesses and organizations by providing access to technical and specialized services and research and development, which generate business expansion and productivity.
The funds will also maintain two skilled positions and will also enable Collège Boréal to hire an agriculture technician.
Additional anticipated benefits include the creation and modernization of two agri-food business incubators while maintaining 14 strategic alliances in agri-food development.
