Local municipal councils throughout Northern Ontario including Espanola and Elliot Lake have selected their representatives for the 2022 Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities conference.
FONOM executive director Mac Bain says this year’s theme is Big Data means Big Ideas.
He says this conference will be in person with municipal representatives taking part from across the North.
He says FONOM will be hosting a Northern Leaders Debate, with three of the four Leaders already confirming their attendance.
Bain says not only will there be networking and displays on site, one keynote speaker is Doug Griffiths, the author of 13 Ways to Kill Your Community.
The conference is being hosted by the City of North Bay at Best Western from May 9th to 11th.
