An Elliot Lake school is encouraging students to write letters to pen pals in Quebec.
Board communication director Paul de la Riva says students in grades 5, 6 and 7 students at École catholique Georges Vanier in Elliot Lake are participating in project students from Montreal.
He says the students were thrilled to receive their first letters last week.
De la Riva says the correspondence will continue throughout the school year.
