Nickel Belt MPP France Gélinas is pleased that the Ontario government’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts received documents from Laurentian University.
She says Speaker warrants were issued in December requiring the educational institution to deliver the documents, with some of them delivered by the February 1st deadline.
She says the documents are now under review.
Gelinas says the week before the deadline the court-ordered Laurentian to hand over the requested documents, except for those related to certain court orders pertaining to Laurentian’s bankruptcy papers.
In a statement, the university states it is working to review documents and will continue to produce all that are not prohibited by the court order.
