The Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario school board gave their approval for the appointment of two school trustees this week.
Communication director Carole Dube says Amelie Hien will represent Ward 1 and 4 in Greater Sudbury and Jocelyn Bourgoin will represent Marathon and Manitouwadge.
Hien remains a professor with Laurentian University and has over 15 years in the education field promoting the French language and culture.
Bougoin has over 40 years administrative experience in the health care sector and is the current chair of Northern Superior Counseling Programs.
The appointments are effective immediately.
