As of tomorrow morning, the Ontario government will implement temporary changes to the health guidance for long-term care homes.
Ontario’s Chief Medial Officer of Health, Dr. Kieran Moore says there are only two exemptions – designated caregivers may continue to visit and compassionate visitations for palliative care.
He adds all general visitations and day absences for all residents are paused for the time being.
Moore says the measures are being put in place in response to the evolving Omicron situation.
