A lengthy fire ban has finally ended for the Municipality of Huron Shores. A ban went into effect July 3rd, but the restriction finally came off last Friday, two weeks after it first took effect. Meanwhile, fire bans continue for Elliot Lake, Blind River and the Township of the North Shore. The fire departments in the respective communities imposed the prohibitions. No open burning is allowed during the ban and that includes no slash burning or using incinerators.
