Alyssa Hebert, 16 of Elliot Lake attended a classification and associated swim meet from December 1st – 5th in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Para swimmers are assessed to test their physical functioning during their classification assessment.
She competed in the associated swim meet and obtained the best times in all her events.
She took off 29 seconds in her 100m butterfly, 3 seconds in her 50m butterfly and 23 seconds in her 100m breaststroke.
The big news is that she took off 43 seconds in her 200m freestyle and 45 seconds in her 100m freestyle which gave her qualifying times for Can-Am’s in both these events, which brings her one step closer to the Paralympic Games.
