East Algoma OPP arrested an Elliot Lake man after reports of someone entering vehicles at night.
OPP Constable Phil Young says last Saturday just before 10 pm, police received a call about someone entering a vehicle parked on Hergott Avenue and stealing money from it.
He says the complainant reported viewing their residential video surveillance which showed a person entering their property and entering their vehicle.
Police reviewed the video and recognized the person.
Young adds while only a small amount of cash was stolen, officers did locate a 27-year-old from Elliot Lake and charged them with theft from a vehicle.
He adds the man is to appear in Elliot Lake Court on January 4th.
