Elliot Lake’s St. Joseph General Hospital Foundation had to cancel its Tree Lighting Ceremony due to the winter weather this past weekend.
The event was originally set for Sunday, but with the winter storm, it has now been tentatively rescheduled to Sunday, December 12th at 7 pm.
However, the decision was made to host it tomorrow night, Wednesday, December 8th at five pm and the public is invited to attend.
The event has been part of the community for 20 years and is a fundraiser, through the sale of bulbs, to raise funds to replace 54 beds in the hospital.
