Reopening of municipal services in Blind River planned for early next month

Blind River’s municipal office is tentatively set to reopen on September 7th and council will also return to in-person meetings depending on Algoma Public Health regulations at that time.

CAO-Clerk Katie Scott says council has been meeting virtually and the municipal office has been closed since the beginning of the lockdowns back in March of 2020.

She says the reopening is being held gradually with some services already set to begin operations adding safety measures, such as plexiglass barriers are being installed in reception, chambers and at all staff desks.
