Espanola co-op lunch thanks community partners

An annual lunch at Espanola High thanked local businesses that took in co-op students over the year. Over 100 people came out to the 24th annual event that also honoured two retirees and three supervisors who have passed away. Moose FM co-op student Daneen Maher MC’d the event, and spoke about working at the radio station.

In the past year, Sables-Spanish Rivers Fire Chief Rodney Houle, Colin Horner, a heavy equipment mechanic who taught students through the Cambrian College/EHS Dual Credit Program, and Eric Parlowe, the Manager of Environmental Services at the Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Centre, passed away and the lunch paid a special tribute to them.

Co-op Coordinator Dean Riggs thanked everyone who has supported the program over the past 24 years.
