Massey Fair a go for August

It won’t be quite the same but it will still be something to crow about.

The board of the Massey Agricultural Society is going ahead with the annual Massey Fair.

Society president Brian Channon says the lifting of the COVID-19 restrictions will make way for the volunteers to host the fair once again, so he is encouraging the public to share their ideas and get their crafting done.

He says it is too late in the year to have the midway on site, but the fairgrounds will house livestock and other agricultural displays, with plenty of events ranging from horse, cattle and fowl displays to mud bog and lawn tractor races and plenty of games for kids and adults alike.

He adds it will all take place August 27th and 28th and there will also be several categories for competition from livestock to veggies, photography to quilts, artwork to sewing.
