The community is stepping up to assist someone who recently lost their home due to a fire in Elliot Lake.
Not one, but two go fund me fundraisers have been set up to assist Celine Messier who lost her home and her Jack Russell, Winston, in the fire on Mississauga Avenue on Wednesday morning.
Messier is a life-long resident, nurse and front-line worker who was at work when she was told her home was on fire.
Her friends Mercedes Bryne and Laura Moyer have both started funds to help her rebuild with the damage estimated at $450,000.
The investigation is continuing into the cause of the fire.
