Laurentian Board Chair renewed to complete CCAA process

The Board of Governors of Laurentian University has voted to re-appoint Claude F. Lacroix as Chair for a term of up to one year.

Dr. Robert Haché, President and Vice-Chancellor of Laurentian University says it is a strategic renewal to ensure continuity of leadership and stability within the Board of Governors as the institution completes the CCAA process.

Haché says Lacroix is an Alumnus, having earned his B.A. from Laurentian University in 1991.

He graduated from the faculty of Law at L’Université de Moncton in 1996 and has served on the board since 2006.

Laurentian University applied for bankruptcy protection in February and is now in the second stage of the proceedings with a return to court at the end of summer where the institution’s entire assets will be revealed.
