French Catholic and French public teachers’ unions at both the elementary and secondary levels have reached a tentative deal with the Ontario government.
Minister of Education, Stephen Lecce, says the deal was reached on Tuesday and includes lower class sizes, protection of full-day kindergarten and enhanced education supports.
He adds it is the fourth tentative deal to be reached over the last few weeks.
Tentative deals were also reached with elementary teachers and education workers as well as Ontario English Catholic staffers.
CUPE and the Educational Workers Alliance of Ontario have also ratified their agreements.
Negotiations resume with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation today.
