A funeral mass will be held for an Elliot Lake man today, the victim of a deadly house fire.
The sister of one of the victims, Joanne Dumas Moggy says her brother and a tenant in the basement died in the residential fire at 4 Hart Road a week ago Saturday.
She says the funeral for Ronald Dumas, will be held today at 11:00 am at Paroisse St. Bernadette Church.
He was 64.
Elliot Lake Fire Chief John Thomas says they have not received positive identification of the female tenant who lived in the basement.
He says that the cause of death for both victims has been determined as smoke inhalation, but the cause of the deadly blaze will likely never be known.
Chief Thomas says they were able to determine the fire started in the basement, but the damage was so extensive it will be impossible to determine the cause.
He adds he expects a positive identification of the female tenant this week.
