The Manitoulin-Espanola OPP is hosting RIDE checks in the Espanola area and is warning drivers to not drink and drive.
OPP Constable Renee Lalonde says last week, the police did set up the program on Lee Valley Road and one driver from Espanola was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and having over .08 in his system.
Lalonde says his licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
He is to appear in Espanola court on March 2nd.
