Treatment is going well for an Elliot Lake toddler, but financial assistance is needed while she receives chemo.
Amanda Dubois says her friend, Amber Ann Brown’s little girl, Desiree, is undergoing chemotherapy for cancer down south and the family needs some financial assistance to offset costs not covered by any support programs.
She says Desiree is receiving treatment at the Grand River Pediatric Oncology Clinic, a satellite of Toronto Sick Kids Hospital.
Dubois says the two are set up at a bed and breakfast to keep expenses down and she is raising $5,000 to assist the family.
