A Sagamok-Anishnawbek First Nation man is facing several charges including assault.
Anishnawbek Police Sergeant Vernon Macumber says a week ago Friday, police including specialized OPP units responded to a family altercation in Sagamok.
He adds the brief standoff ended with a local 36-year-old man surrendering to police.
Macumber says the man is charged with two counts each of assault, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon as well as dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and unlawfully being in the residence.
The man was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing.
