The freezing rain is expected to change to rain Monday afternoon.
In addition, strong wind gusts of 60 to 70 km/h will affect the area into Monday.
Ice accretion or build-up of 5 to 10 mm is possible and combined with the strong wind gusts, widespread power outages are possible.
Travel is expected to be very poor today into Monday, especially inland and over higher terrain where colder temperatures will result in more ice build-up on untreated surfaces.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
