A motorcyclist has died following a collision over the weekend.
Sault Ste. Marie OPP has not released the identity of the driver of the motorcycle who died at the scene of the head-on collision, which occurred Saturday afternoon around 2:30 pm on Highway 1y between Highway 552 and Pineshores Road in Goulais Township.
The preliminary investigation has determined that a motorcycle struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle.
No one was hurt in the SUV.
A detour was set up around the site until around 8:30am Sunday morning.
The investigation is continuing.
