Fire bans in two municipalities – fire danger is high

UPDATE: The Township of Huron Shores has removed their fire ban.

Two North Shore corridor communities had issued fire bans.

Nairn & Hyman Township and the Township of Huron Shores hadissued fire bans, since the fire danger is very high, but Huron Shores has now lifted theirs.

Although other municipalities have yet to follow suit, the public is advised to follow all precautions, especially with barbecues, open pit fires and fireworks.

The fire restrictions means there is to be no open burning or fireworks in the municipalities where the ban has been imposed.
