Special Olympians will be sharing their experiences as part of The Law Enforcement Torch Run – Manitoulin Island leg.
The public are invited to join in the run/walk this Friday, June 22nd at the Mindemoya OPP detachment just before 10:00am.
The walk will start out from the detachment and head to Central Manitoulin Public School where students will join in to wind their way back at the detachment.
Some of Manitoulin Island’s Special Olympians will then talk about their competitive experiences and will be joined by the Sudbury OPP Auxiliary Unit and Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests bagpiper.
Funds raised from the Torch Run goes towards funding Special Olympians in their endeavours.
