Public session about development in Blind River

Blind River residents had their say at a public meeting on how the town should move ahead with development.

Last Thursday, representatives from the consulting firm Collins Barrow met with about 60 residents to focus on the Blind River Corporate Strategic Plan and Economic Development Strategy.

A survey on the town’s website, the final results will be released in August, has already garnered 217 responses.

High-speed internet, attracting new business, improvements to the business core, addressing empty buildings and promoting recreational improvement activities were all raised.

A final report on findings and recommendations will then be made public in October.
