Elliot Lake and Serpent River First Nation – chief and council meet Monday

Serpent River First Nation is likely to respond fairly quickly to Elliot Lake council’s proposal to develop a working agreement on developing an equitable agreement in regards to future waterfront and rural development within its municipal borders.
Mayor Dan Marchisella says the motion to enter into an agreement means both communities can work together for their mutual benefit.

The motion was passed on Monday and forwarded to Serpent River First Nation.

Chief Elaine Johnston and band council will discuss it at their regular meeting this coming Monday.
