Canada’s new governor general, Julie Payette, will visit École élémentaire publique Kanata located in Ottawa, for the official renaming of the school.
The school will be renamed École élémentaire publique Julie-Payette in her honour.
The ceremony will take place tomorrow morning.
She will be welcomed by students and representatives from the school and school board during an official ceremony in the school gym.
Her Excellency will then unveil the school’s new logo and speak to those in attendance.
