Proud to be Parent Conference this week in Wikwemikong

Wikwemikong is the host community for a parenting conference later this week.

There are several presenters including keynote speaker Janet Fox

Fox is a life skills coach from Onion Lake Cree Nation in Saskatchewan.
“First Nations people have always had the knowledge that when you raise a child holistically; this prepared them to make positive choices; healthy relationships, healthy children … which leads to healthy communities,” says Fox.

Other speakers will focus on child development, newborn and post-partum care, the move to day care or school and more.

There are still a few spots left for parents or parents to be.
