NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is taking a swipe at the Liberals and their plan to rebate us the provincial portion of the HST on our Hydro bills. Horwath says the rebate is more about helping the Liberal party than ordinary families. Horwath says in Toronto, Liberal staffers were at subway stations handing out leaflets explaining the rebate only hours after the Liberals introduced the legislation at Queen’s Park.
She says Premier Kathleen Wynne keeps making decisions that make good headlines for the Liberal party. Horwath says if the Liberals really want to lower our electricity bills, they would stop any further sell-off of Hydro One.
