Two OPP constables from different detachments in Northern Ontario have been suspended with pay following an assault several months ago. The assault took place in late May but the OPP isn’t saying anything more about it. One of the constables is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon. He’s a six-year veteran with the Kapuskasing OPP. The second constable has nine years under his belt and he’s charged with two counts of assault. This officer is with the South Porcupine branch of the OPP.
