Charges laid after bear shot and killed

A 76-year-old Sudbury woman and her husband are charged with careless use of a firearm after the senior shot a bear with a rifle.  The woman killed the bear who was pestering a neighbour for days looking for food.  The husband shot first, but missed and his wife then shot the bear dead.  Those rifle shots prompted calls to the Sudbury police who quickly responded to the site and seized the guns.
