A former reporter with the Elliot Lake Standard has passed away. Long-time residents of Elliot Lake and the area might remember Boris Hrybinsky. He reported for the Standard in the early 1980’s before moving to larger newspapers. After leaving Elliot Lake, Hrynbinski worked at several other papers including the Sudbury Star where he eventually became the Managing Editor. Hrybinski later left for Winnipeg. He passed away in Winnipeg at the age of 63.
